Sr. Director, Technology & Product Development

Role Summary

This position will work collaboratively with internal and external teams throughout the end-to-end solution development process to identify, pursue, develop, and integrate new products into the Mavenir portfolio under the guidance of the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer. Using their expertise in public cloud driven telco transformations, the incumbent will identify and develop products and technologies to drive sustainable growth in the value of the Mavenir product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technology consultation for internal engineering teams and customers
• Bring in expertise in one of the cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure) to integrate Mavenir's Telco software components
• Anchor proof concept and innovation programs within the CTO team
• Ensure high standards across in-house design and third-party solutions
• Collaborate closely with internal and external teams throughout the end-to-end solution development process
• Provide guidance for cost effective yet effective solutions to create value in customer deployments

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Telecom domain ( Consumer and/or enterprise segments).
• Subject matter expert on public cloud driven telco transformation with expertise on more than one technology among NFV, SDN, Automation, Management and Orchestration, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of 4G/5G architecture, network components and typical operational / deployment challenges
• Practical experience of deploying and managing applications on public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Expertise in leveraging microservices based architecture, CI/CD and automation strategies, Geo redundancy and scaling of application workloads specially in public clouds
• Familiarity with different telecom standards, 3GPP, GSMA, ETSI
• Experience in large scale telecom solution creation, Technology and Product Architecture and Solution Design. Previous experience as a solution architect is preferred
• Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment to drive customer projects and Proof of concepts
• Providing Solution & Technology consultancy including Problem definition, Use cases, Product evaluation, Solution recommendation and Architecture definition to front end teams and partners
• Experience working with geographically dispersed engineering teams in multiple stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment as a team member with collaborative skills and attitude.
• Bachelors or master's in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields.
