Sr Manager, Software Engineering, ATE FreeWheel's mission is to build great advertising software. FreeWheel is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our Beeswax team to help build and lead a new team of highly skilled software engineers for our Tier 2 support team. In this role you will build and lead a team that will support and automate production operations.
Job Description
Primary Duties

• Grow, organize, and manage a distributed team of software engineers, providing them with direction, guidance, and opportunities for growth.
• Establish and continuously evolve the processes and procedures for handling various support tasks including customer escalations, internal inquiries, and minor code changes in service of operational changes.
• Continually evaluate and improve engineering practices and processes to deliver maximal value to our customers.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to craft policies around technical architecture, design philosophies, and engineering practices for your teams.
• Coach and grow your teams to advance their careers and become future leaders.
• Implement and review employee performance metrics.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

Working conditions
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering must successfully work with team members located in multiple remote locations and time zones. Working conditions agree with conditions described within FreeWheel's company handbook unless explicitly noted in this document.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• 7+ years related experience.
• Ad Tech Experience is required
• Real time bidding, DSP experience is a huge plus!
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience guiding teams in building large-scale, distributed, cloud-based applications.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle with experience driving meaningful improvements.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Git, and MS Office products.
