About the Role:

  • The Senior Operations Program Manager is part of our Strategic Operations team, which leads
    our most critical operations projects, and drives cross-functional improvements within
    Operations and beyond. You will help define, prioritize and oversee execution of an evolving
    roadmap of cross functional, operations-focused projects, interacting extensively with other
    teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, Finance) to ensure company-wide coordination, stakeholder
    engagement and delivery against overall business objectives. You will also lead selected
    projects, or workstreams within larger projects that are being led by other Strategic Operations
    team members.
  • This role will report to the VP of Strategic Operations. This is a full-time role with company
    benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA, and may require occasional travel to other locations in
    our operations footprint. We have a flexible time off policy, and a partial hybrid/work-from-home
    policy, depending on business needs.
  • The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $115,000 to $160,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What you'll do:

  • Build out the Strategic Operations Project Management Office (PMO) infrastructure, creating user-friendly project management and reporting tools
  • Create and facilitate a strategic planning process for Ops, working with the Operations Leadership Team and project owners, to define, scope and prioritize how to resource a pipeline of projects to best support overall business objectives
  • Create an efficient project status reporting process, lead update/escalation meetings, and drive stakeholder communication as needed, including Board/Executive level presentations
  • Working with project owners, develop project objectives, quantifiable goals, timelines, deliverables etc., increasingly developing subject matter expertise and organizational understanding to become a valued business partner for achieving company objectives
  • Strategic, data driven problem solving: proactively identify and evaluate ways to create value for the business, improve processes or communication gaps, and work with cross functional teams to design and implement changes
  • Build strong relationships and influence across the organization to motivate and drive accountability for meeting deliverables and business objectives 
  • Lead selected projects, or workstreams within larger projects being led by other Strategic Operations team members, including cross-functional process improvements and new workflows

About You:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field, such as
    Engineering, Science, Business Admin., Economics, Finance
  • Experience in a supply chain or operations role for a consumer product company and/or
    eCommerce company, with demonstrated understanding of operations fundamentals
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience, with a solid understanding of PM tools,
    when to use them and when to keep it simple
  •  A track record of success driving high impact, cross functional projects that deliver real
    business value
  • Management consulting experience – especially with a focus on operations and process
    improvement – is a strong plus
  • Highly detailed, organized, and structured thinker, with an ability to move fast, prioritizing
    your time and others’ based on what matters most for achieving overall business
    objectives
  • Excellent Excel or G-sheets skills, with an ability to analyze data, solve problems, make
    fact-based business decisions and create tools/templates for other stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills, with demonstrated experience
    crafting executive level presentations
  • Excellent stakeholder and change management skills, knowing when and how to build
    buy-in across the organization – from the production line to executive level
  • Fast-paced learner and self-starter, comfortable operating in a startup environment
