Sr. Oracle DBA, Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

As a Sr. Oracle DBA at JPMorgan Chase, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities

• Works with Oracle platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
• Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
• Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
• Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
• Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification and 7+ years of applied experience
• Oracle DBA Experience with strong understanding of databases and oracle engineered systems like Exadata, ZFS and ZDLRA
• Strong experience working with Oracle version 19c in a Linux environment
• Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication
• Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology (Oracle 19c)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban, Scrum and DevOps
• Deep knowledge of on-premise infrastructure
