Sr. Platform Engineer 4841

As a Sr. Platform Engineer, you’ll empower developer teams to deliver code to production faster to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Work in an agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in agile ceremonies, and interacting with and supporting our customers.
• Continuously improve the client infrastructure and platform for users.
• Support the developer teams in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting web applications.
• Deploy new CI/CD workflows and improve the scope of existing ones.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for containerization and DevSecOps and provide relevant advice to team members and customers.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

•  5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, Software Developer, and/or IT professional with experience deploying and managing web applications.
• Experience with deploying containerized applications.
• Experience with deploying applications leveraging Kubernetes-based deployment patterns such as leveraging EKS, AKS, VMware Tanzu, RedHat OpenShift or Rancher Government Services RKE2.
  
• Experience with CI/CD and automation technologies such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  
• Experience managing, storing, and updating artifacts in artifact repositories.
  
• Experience configuring and deploying SAST/DAST security tools within the CI/CD pipelines for application teams to leverage in order to deploy into production.
  
• Experience deploying services on at least one of the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  
• Hands-on experience administering Linux operating systems (configuring services, cron, bash scripting, hardening, etc.).
  
• an active or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  
• Certified for DoD 8140 IAT Level II, such as CompTIA Sec+.
