The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior QA Engineer at Syncro, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform, ultimately contributing to an exceptional user experience for our partners. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and create detailed bug reports You will drive continuous improvement in our QA processes and innovate in test case/plan development. Â You will be working 100% remotely.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for website functionalities, including UI/UX, performance, security, and scalability, ensuring adequate coverage of all use cases and edge cases.
- Lead the design and implementation of innovative test case/plan development strategies, incorporating best practices and industry standards to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our QA processes.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and user stories, providing valuable input to enhance product quality and user experience.
- Utilize SQL to query databases and perform data validation, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data-driven features and functionalities.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to contribute to the iterative development process and drive continuous improvement.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by internal teams or clients, providing timely resolutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and provide guidance to your team and the broader organization (engineers, product management, fellow QA practitioners and leadership) fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Promoting excellence in test case/plan development and seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from testing activities.
- Write detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, severity, and impact, to provide clear and actionable information to developers for resolution.
- Work with teams across the greater company, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather feedback, align on customer needs, and ensure that QA efforts contribute to customer satisfaction.
Must have skills:
- Proven experience working as a Senior QA Engineer, preferably within a SaaS company.
- Strong proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive effective resolutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement and ability to share and mentor others.
- Strong ability to see the behaviors and experience from the customer perspective and drive towards excellence.
Nice to have skills:
- Hands-on experience with SQL for querying databases and performing data validation.
- Familiarity with Ruby/Rails applications
- Scalability and performance testing
- Some experience performing code reviews and regression analysis.
- Experience with test automation using tools such as Playwright, Selenium or similarÂ
