Sr. Software Engineer

Concurrent Real-Time is looking for a full-time Sr. Software Engineer in our Pompano Beach, FL headquarters.

Position Summary:

• Responsible for backend development in C and C++ to meet specific functions of a highly complex software product.
• This position involves software application and project development responsibilities. Ability to synthesize initial concepts of project and determine technical principles involved. Ability to impart current technology in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and coordinate large software development projects or a number of smaller scale projects with many complex features.
• Translate product, process, or systems requirements into engineering principles to describe and specify required application.
• Integrate descriptive software into a larger software product
• Be aware of internal and external customer concerns in the design, development, manufacturability of products and processes.
• Provide responsive customer support to our external customers.
• Contribute to improving the technical knowledge-base and effectiveness of other engineers.
• Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensures positive working relationships in a team environment.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years' experience programming experience with C and C++. Must be able to write new code and make enhancements to existing code.
• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Midlevel experience with Linux
• Preferred experience with GUI Development experience (NetBeans, Swing), Python and Java but not required.
• Preferred experience with software and hardware data acquisition skills are a plus.

Mainly onsite work with some hybrid and remote work.

Salary:

At Concurrent Real-Time and HBK we believe that transparency builds strong relationships; which is why we post the salary for our positions! This position has a starting range of $120,000 - $150,000 USD.
