The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for system engineering the Traunche 2 tracking layer for SDA and or the PWSA Futures Program (PFP) Ground Segment Integration programs based in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidate will oversee a team responsible for requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation updates. The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met. Primary responsibilities include management, release planning review, preparation/review of reports, meeting and working group support, and contributions towards ECPs and CCPs. Additionally, they will be responsible for CPAR write-ups, potential CLIN Account Management, and other functions as requested. As well, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on new capabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with Program leadership to ensure all System Engineering requirements are met
- Ensure timely and accurte CDRLs are submitted according to customer prescribed schedule
- Chair/Host/Support all required IPTs, TIMs, WGs and Ad hoc meetings
- Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
- SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Altlassian suite)
- Requirement's analysis
- System design
- Reliability analysis
- System documentation updates
- Work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
- Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings
Position is contingent upon successful contract award.
- 8+ years engineering and leadership qualities
- Current active, Secret Security Clearance
- BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
- Ability to led a team of System Engineers
- Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
- Experience with SCN or satellite ground systems
- Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization
- Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
- Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Working knowledge of space systems, including RF systems, and system development processes is a plus.
- DOORS and Cameo experience is a plus.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with satellite ground systems (Software and Hardware)
- Current active, TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Experience with SATCOM and SDA missions
- Experience with Risk management
- Experience with MBSE - Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo
- Experience with SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices
- Experience with Service Based Architecture (SBA)
- Experience with performing analysis and deconfliction activities in regards to security updates and application operability

Position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000
