SSIS/SQL/.Net Lead Software Engineer- Wealth Management (Remote)

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: AZ, NC, SC, MA, GA, TX

• Responsible for all phases of development including evaluation of system requirements, design, writing code, unit testing, peer reviews, job scheduling, creating change controls and building releases for production deployment.
• Leads technical efforts in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems.
• Supports productions systems by resolving complicated issues and ensuring ongoing functionality.
• Serves as a technical expert and acts in a leadership role for less experienced associates in the work group.

Responsibilities

• System Enhancements - Design and development to improve Wealth Management systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes SSIS, SQL, and .NET C# expertise to design and construct packages/jobs modifications that fit within existing system architecture and execute unit testing methods/ plans.
• Leads major projects, delegates tasks, and ensures quality results.
• Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems by addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Develops technical solutions to unique system problems.
• Technical Expertise - Utilizes expertise to mentor and train associates within the work group. Participates in special projects and meetings as needed to convey critical technical insight. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units.
• Analysis - Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspects business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy.
• Assists with writing standards and designing training materials.
• Required to be in on call rotation to address production issues escalated by level 1 support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree

Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science

• Experience: MS.NET; ASP.NET; SSIS development; SQL Scripting
• Preferred Area of Experience: Azure; CI/CD; Control M
• Experience working in a large financial institution, Brokerage or Wealth Management is preferred.
• Skill(s): Advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system, Advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems, Proven ability to resolve conflicting situations, in order to move process and people forward, in depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile, Experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET; SSIS; SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting
