Position Overview
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations by handling transactional processes and assisting senior accounting staff. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to both routine accounting functions and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
· Post cash activity into the General Ledger with accuracy and timeliness
· Review and record corporate credit card transactions related to Real Estate expenses
· Record employee expense reports and ensure proper allocation of Real Estate-related costs
· Assist senior accounting team members with various tasks and projects as needed
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
· Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Qualifications
· 2–3 years of professional accounting experience
· Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Accounting Principles
· Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
Preferred Attributes
· Previous experience in real estate accounting is a plus
· Familiarity with expense management systems and bank reconciliation software

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in various accounting software, particularly Xero. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor and optimize financial performance.
• Assist with financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with securities law and governmental accounting standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate records related to wills, trusts, and estate law as necessary.
• Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software is required.
• Experience in public accounting or governmental accounting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
• Knowledge of cash flow analysis and financial analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with securities law is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
