ACP Connectionsis looking for a strongStaff Accountant/Fixed Assetsfor a contract to hire role. ThisStaff Accountant/Fixed Assetsopportunity with one of the largest employers in Arizona and you only have to work onsite one day a week. We are looking for someone with good excel skills, analytical, fixed assts, GAAP, and can hit corporate deadlines . Must be very detail oriented. This role is 40 hours a week and you will be paid on a weekly basis. TheStaff Accountant/Fixed Assetsposition is responsible for preparation as well as analysis necessary to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Company’s financial statements. This position is also responsible for maintaining effective and efficient operating policies and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement. This role requires collaboration and partnership with a wide variety of teams across the business and add value through data-driven financial insights. The current scope of responsibility includes (i) implementation and enforcement of fixed asset accounting policies and procedures, as well as processes and controls; (ii) prepare entries as it relates to the lifecycle of an asset; (iii) prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts on a monthly basis. Staff Accountant/Fixed Assets Essential Functions: - Prepare entries for the lifecycle of an asset (creation of asset into CIP, properly coding all fields of an asset, placing assets in service timely, disposing of assets) - Partner with leaders within the organization to understand status of fixed asset projects and triggering events with accounting impacts - Be meticulous and detail-oriented to accurately record information of each asset (company code, store location, asset description, etc) utilizing as much system automation as possible - Review purchases and determine appropriate accounting treatment for capital or expense in accordance with GAAP and company policy - Contribute recommendations in improving the company's accounting processes; assist in the improvement of internal control activities and accounting policies and procedures - Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required Staff Accountant/Fixed Assets Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Foundational knowledge of Fixed Assets accounting principles and practices - Above average knowledge of Excel with the ability to visually interpret the logic of a complex sequence of excel formulas and update as needed - Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to maintain composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially during period close and reporting cycles - Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills, and problem solving skills. - Ability to both identify and remove barriers to progress or change. - Ability to maintain confidential information - Strong time management and organizational skills - Workday financials experience a plus Staff Accountant/Fixed Assets Education & Certifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred. · Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, required. · Competency in Excel and proficient with other Microsoft Office suite products (e.g., One Note, Word, PowerPoint) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.00 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Application Question(s): • Are you able to work onsite one day a week? • Are you able to pass criminal background? • Are you extremely detail oriented?
