Staff Product Manager – Data

In this role you will help shape the future of the global product at Convera. The product management team drives innovation and brings new technologies into the product vision and strategy to solve problems for our customers.  We are looking for a data product manager to use advanced data-driven insights to guide the development of products and features, with a focus on data collection, organization, storage, and sharing.   

As a Data Product Manager, the candidate will help create a data-driven culture within Convera.   This position will partner with technical and non- technical teams to define requirements and translate large data initiatives into small actionable items.  The product manager must balance strategy with tactical execution.  S/he must have the ability to build a roadmap that aligns with the corporate strategy, whilst being able to execute on the details of data analysis to identify trends, patterns and correlations to inform product decisions.  

S/he is expected to know data governance fundamentals to ensure reliability, consistency and quality of data in our platform.  S/he is expected to monitor and provide feedback on the performance of the data product and track success criteria.  The Manager is expected to use metrics and data to influence product strategies and gain stakeholder buy-in. 

The ideal candidate must possess strong judgment and critical thinking skills with excellent written and oral communication capabilities.  We are seeking a fast mover who must have the ability to work in a matrixed environment, and work both independently and as part of a team. 

• Experienced in fintech or financial services is preferred
• Experience in the regulatory or compliance domains is a bonus
• Must have a solid understanding of technical concepts such as statistics, Structured Query Language (SQL), and machine learning (ML).
