Staff Writer, TV and AV, What Hi-Fi

What Hi-Fi? is the world’s leading hi-fi and home cinema buying guide. We deliver expert, impartial news, reviews, features and advice across a huge range of audio and video products, including TVs, speakers, turntables and headphones. 

The title was first published in 1976 and since then has become the source of the most trusted and influential technology reviews on the planet, both in print and online. It is part of Future’s global technology network, which includes TechRadar and Tom’s Guide.

What you'll be doing...

We need a staff writer to join our in-house team, writing news, reviews, features and more, with a focus on TV and AV products. The Staff Writer will report directly into the Content Director.

To do this job you will need to have a passion for music and movies – and the ability to share that with our audience. One day you could write about the latest Sony TV launch, while the next you could test an LG sound-bar. 

You will need to become an expert on all things AV to deliver insightful advice in our Buying Guides and can write class-leading Advice pages. You’ll also need to be confident enough to share your opinions with the world and write entertaining and informative features.

• You must be enthusiastic about TV and AV products and have a love of all things home entertainment
• Knowledge of the consumer technology market
• Can explain complex subjects in a clear and entertaining way

• Experience with SEO and e-commerce

This is a Hybrid role from our London Office, working three days from the office, two from home
