Strategic Program Manager - PSG Commercial

Ready to lead exciting Commercial strategies and initiatives across a global organization? This role demands a project leader experienced in leading global cross-functional teams and groundbreaking initiatives across divisions and global functions. This individual will join the Strategic Program Office, serving the Commercial organization within the Pharma Services Group, a network of three divisions and 60 sites; partnering with business leaders to own the strategy deployment highly-impactful initiatives across the global network. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills, and expertise in translating business processes and problems into clear recommendations and deployment strategies.

What will you do?

  • Leads key pivotal initiatives (typically three at a time) that span across multiple divisions and global functions, ensuring timelines are met, results are achieved, leading teams to success.
  • Creates and owns the overall program roadmap to deploy and monitor progress against the short-term and long-term strategic goals of the assigned initiatives.
  • Leads global, cross-functional, geographically distributed teams to achieve project goals, encouraging a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement while handling timelines, resources, and Sr. leadership expectations. Leads steering committee meetings to review project progress, remove barriers to execution, and ensure alignment.
  • Applies sophisticated project management techniques, monitors project progress and ensure on schedule, mitigates risks/roadblocks, proactively addresses issues to ensure project success, and measures program metrics to verify successful outcomes on business objectives.
  • Leverages organizational Organisational Change methodologies (i.e. Prosci) to support all aspects of the change effort and promote successful outcomes. Uses PPI business systems and processes to accelerate execution and drive continuous improvement

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelors and/or Master's degree in a science, engineering, or business related field. MBA desirable.

Experience:

  • Required:
    • 5+ years in project management; must have prior experience leading complex global programs / critical initiatives that span multiple divisions and global functions.
  • Preferred:
    • Certification in Project Management and Organizational Change
    • Experience leading critical initiatives in a Commercial setting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven track record to lead cross-functional teams effectively, encouraging collaboration and driving team alignment towards common goals in a matrixed structure.
  • Strong sense of responsibility for program success. Takes personal ownership for assignments and results, sets organizational intensity and holds others accountable.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborates and influences at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated concepts into actionable plans and align teams quickly on the best path forward.
  • Flexible, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment.
  • Mastery at crafting presentations to obtain consensus and drive action, proactively influences up and across all levels of org. to build awareness, anticipate Sr leader needs and obtain alignment
