Job Summary
AEI is currently seeking an energetic graduate with a strong structural engineering background. Applicant will also be required to develop the skills necessary for Highway/Transportation design. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated and a detail oriented individual interested in joining our engineering department in Louisville, KY. This position provides a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required of an Engineer an opportunity for advancement in a robust KY based firm.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Primary responsibility will be assisting in the design and plan production of a variety of transportation bridge and culvert projects.
- Secondary responsibility will be to assist in the design and plan production of industrial and architectural structures.
- Develop skills to assist in Highway Bridge design projects.
- Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- BS Civil Engineering
- EIT or able to get EIT within one year
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Experience with MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads/OpenBridge
- Experience with KYTC Guidance Manual
- Experience with Structural Design Software, including LEAP Products
