Structural Heart Physician Assistant
Jersey Shore University Medical Center
Neptune, New Jersey
The Structural Heart Physician Assistant performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Works collaboratively with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
- 4/10 hour days 7-5pm
- All inpatient, structural heart population.
- Cardiology experience preferred
- Rotation of Saturday coverage

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Graduate of an PA accredited program in nursing
- Masters Degree
- Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs (contact hours per years), and clinical practice as mandated by NCCPA.
- Experience in relevant patient care settings or as regulations dictate
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Master's Prepared Physician Assistant
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Emotional intelligence, critical thinking and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
- Valid Drivers license
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Physician Assistant:
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Physician Assistant License.
- Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) within one year of initial employment by the Medical Center.
