Supervisor - Archive Services

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to be a part of our Archives department at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

This is a new position where you will have the opportunity to supervise an established team as well as be the site's primary regulatory archivist and perform a variety of Archives responsibilities in compliance with appropriate SOP's and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations (as appropriate) in support of various Business Unit Operations. Ensuring that services to both internal and external customers are provided in a timely manner or as agreed in Service Level Agreements.

Duties Include:

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the development of a competent workforce and managing workload balance
• Coordinating and monitoring progress to ensure achievement of timelines and goals
• Being accountable for the activities of the team, communicating issues to management and taking corrective action where appropriate
• Ensuring the consistent implementation, use and review of SOPs
• Monitoring and track department activities and resources
• Tracking, monitoring, and reporting metrics in the agreed upon timelines
• Monitoring individual performance objectives for direct reports, taking corrective action where required. Completing team performance evaluations and interim progress reviews

Education/Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level - can be substituted for experience

Skills / Experience:

• Demonstrable experience supervising a team within a regulated environment strongly preferred however experience of managing a workflow/process may be substituted for people leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dynamic attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to take up challenges
• Strong detail orientation paired with organizational skills
• I.T literate with proficiency in using several software packages i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
