Job Description

These are the minimum results expected from Transition & Implementation:

  • Co-operate and direct the cross-functional teams comprised of clients, branch employee’s, analysts and Product and IS (support/development) personnel to ensure the successful transition of business and systems in order to exceed the scope of services defined in the business award.
  • Plan and develop an effective transition timeline for both business and systems.
  • Manage transition scope, schedule and quality.
  • Point of escalation for client inquiries from client, sales, management, etc.
  • Strategically manage and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of sales administrative program of the branch. Develop ideas and deploy knowledge wherever possible.
  • Manage the pricing team through good & strategic planning and ensuring continuous improvements to business closure success rate. Develop ideas and deploy knowledge wherever possible.
  • Participate actively in the process of strategic sales planning.
  • Effective manage the area of marketing.
  • To handle all rate inquiries timely and professionally.
  • To maintain a complete tariff for internal & external usage purposes.
  • To handle the RFQ & Sales Bid Proposal.
  • To work with overseas office to set up agreed selling rates for general accounts.
  • To monitor the process of GRI or PSAF for general accounts per company’s direction.
  • To provide market information and prepare statistical reports for management.
  • Create and communicate profitable pricing solutions.
  • Maintain data integrity.
  • To assist sales team to handle RFQ and general rate enquiries (including those for salesmen local accounts).

These are the minimum results expected from Sales Operations:

  • Qualify sales leads utilizing reporting and analytics tools.
  • Engage in pre-sale engagement activities for target customers prior to Sales engagement.
  • Organize sales events to drive existing and new customer engagement.
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management system to help manage and organize the District Sales team's customer accounts, enable global engagement, and ensure data integrity measurements are met.
  • Coordinate bid response information as requested by the District Sales team or the Expeditors network.
  • Produce reporting on key metrics and manage monthly delivery of key reports to the District Sales Manager.
  • Ensure updated marketing materials are accessible to Sales team, and create customer-focused PowerPoint presentations in support of business development.
  • Coordinate visitor management for the district and ensure the Sales team maximizes opportunities for scheduled meetings with visitors and customers.
  • Attend training & development sessions to understand the requirements of Sales, and be able to provide Sales with updates on new developments and tools.
  • Support the on-boarding of new Sales personnel.
  • Manage and/or contribute to weekly sales meetings, as directed by the District Sales Manager.
  • Communicate new internal information and tools to Sales, ensuring they are informed of new developments.

To take up additional responsibilities as required to meeting the Company’s needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in transportation/logistics field.
  • Background in project management or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain solutions.
  • Ability to document business process flows.
  • Outstanding communication skills including written and presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, computer skills and general knowledge of supply chain software.
  • Proficient with data and data analysis using Excel and other tools.
  • Aptitude and desire to learn Sales fundamentals and processes.
  • Passion to drive and support a team toward winning results.
  • Outstanding time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency to achieve goals.
  • Outstanding problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence to make decisions in response to changing conditions.
  • Confidence to proactively collaborate across the Expeditors network to support Sales efforts.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Familiar with PowerBI.
  • Ability to independently apply creativity and problem-solving skills to achieve results.
  • Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work off-site for local events.
  • Oral and written proficiency in the English language.
