Summary
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent supervises the Exhibits Division within the Public Museum Engagement and Legislative Archives (L). Under the general supervision of the Director, Exhibits and Visitor Services, the incumbent develops plans, policies, and procedures to promote, govern, and coordinate exhibits and related outreach programs.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. - A one year probationary period may be required.
- A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

- PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed under strict deadlines. Public use of exhibit spaces may at times require work to be performed outside normal working hours and as necessary on Saturdays or Sundays. Work performed at desk, in exhibit spaces in NARA or other buildings, or in offices outside the building with some necessary travel.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes exhibit coordination for the full life cycle of an exhibition, and providing extensive research regarding various historical exhibit projects. Examples of such experience could include:
- Providing audience testing and research from various resources regarding exhibition material to create a balanced, non-partisan exhibit;
OR
- Managing complex exhibition projects or supervising projects related to research or development of exhibits; that reflect the full life cycle of an exhibition;
OR
- Preparing presentation materials for executives and organizational leadership and presenting materials to internal and external stakeholders/giving presentations regarding museum curation or exhibit design, project management and oversight;
OR
- Supervising or leading a team of museum professionals.
