Qualifications

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in Federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as managing and leading multi-disciplinary or multi-agency project teams; managing multiple phases of projects such as irrigation, natural resources, safety of dams, fish restoration; managing all tasks and activities throughout the project life cycle (i.e. from starting the project through closeout); leading, planning, and facilitating activities necessary for completion of major projects or investigations; and overall management of scope, schedule, and budget for projects.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 10/15/2024.

Education

This position does not allow substituting education for experience.

You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Current, permanent Federal employees who are selected from this announcement may be required to serve a probationary period.

You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period.

Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.
