We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Supply Planning Manager to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Role Overview:

As the Supply Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products through our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans that align with production schedules, inventory targets, and customer demand. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Supply Plans: To be accountable for the supply planning function across Norwich and Gateshead sites and play an active and integral role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. 
  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and align supply plans accordingly.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, reducing excess inventory and preventing stockouts.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and managing any supply disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Team Leadership: To manage and develop the supply planning team to deliver optimal factory (and co-manufacturer) schedules to meet customer service, cost and inventory targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: To be responsible for orchestrating the supply elements of the IBP cycle, including data collection and supporting meetings to deliver the overall IBP process. 

Qualifications

​​​​​​Qualifications & Experience

  • You will have worked in a similar industry for 5+ years and:
  • Successfully strategized and implemented a high-level S&OP or IBP process
  • Demonstrated success in change management/transformation projects
  • Have exceptional inventory management experience
  • The ability to influence and collaborate within a matrix organisation
  • Demonstrate broad experience in FMCG industry
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills/numerate
  • Commercially aware
  • Be an effective Team Manager - able to direct work, develop capability and cultivate innovation
  • High competency in use of ERP systems for planning and control and in Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
