Sustainability Analyst Intern

Local Bounti is a leading controlled environment agriculture (CEA) company growing a variety of fresh and living herbs and greens at our facility in Hamilton, Montana with projects in progress throughout the Western United States. Position: Local Bounti is seeking to hire a Sustainability Intern, supporting the growing facilities and the corporation at large.  This is an opportunity to support an innovative ESG program in a growing segment. 

Job Overview: Local Bounti is currently looking for a self-motivated, and results-driven Sustainability Intern to contribute to a team-based environment in evaluating, developing, and implementing ESG programs initiatives. This person will be responsible for gathering and analyzing information in support of the sustainability program.

The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, strong information and data collection skills, and strong organization skills.

Optional travel opportunities based on the intern’s preference and schedules.

Reports to Government and Community Affairs Manager

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis: Responsible for the collection and analysis of operational and sustainability data. Maintain data sets supporting the range of ESG programs and information for external sustainability reporting requirements. 
• Segment analysis: Collect, document, and evaluate CEA segment suppliers, buyers, and competitor data.  Maintain segment metrics. 
• Funding programs: Supporting the identification, application, and reporting for grant and incentive programs.
• Internship requirements: 15% of the internship time will be dedicated to fulfilling the internship program requirements based on the college program.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills, focus on MS Office tools and Business Intelligence
• Experience with statistics and business analytics
• College student, preference for Business, Agriculture, or Political Science
