We are seeking an experienced reporter to cover the Nordic region's biggest economy and the Riksbank. We're looking for a high-energy news breaker and a skilled writer to produce news and enterprise on deadline.

Your job is to dig into the inner workings of Sweden's government and central bank, which has been cutting rates as the economy stagnates for a third year in a row. You will also set the agenda on the macro landscape, delivering news on a range of topics including a nebulous housing-market recovery, green investments gone sour and the impact of anti-crime policies on the nation's finance sector. As the latest NATO entrant, Sweden's defense sector will be an area of high interest after decades of underinvestment. Finally, you will develop a deep network of sources and produce scoops that will be required reading for traders, policymakers, business leaders and global consumers.

We'll trust you to:

• Cover the Riksbank's policy decisions, speeches, reports and personnel moves while developing sources connected to the inner workings of the central bank
• Pitch stories on various topics to give readers a richer understanding of the Swedish economy and politics, and how its decisions fit within a broader European framework
• Build sources and break news on Swedish government policies and plans
• Own the beat, driving enterprise projects and actively chasing news
• Work under tight deadlines and collaborate with reporters and editors in Europe and around the world
• Take risks and find ways to innovate while maintaining the highest standards for accuracy and speed
• Contribute across a variety of Bloomberg platforms and formats, such as video, radio, podcasts, Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg Businessweek magazine
• Chart and visually display data to help your stories stand out

You'll need to have:

• Fluent Swedish and English language skills
• Proven writing skills as well as a proficiency with numbers and cutting through jargon
• A drive to chase news
• Solid news judgment
• Ability to work effectively to organize daily news flows
• Flexibility with work hours and assignments and travel
• 4+ years of journalism experience
