Position Summary:

The Systems Development Associate is responsible to integrate business initiatives into the T24 core banking system or related interfaces, programming data-processing projects ensuring that they follow business' needs and comply with the internal policies of development based on the life cycle of a project.

The Systems Development Associate reports to the Systems Development Manager.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

• Contact with the users to collect a complete list of business requirements in order to document properly the overall purpose of the project, identifying stakeholders, recognizing multiple viewpoints, current system features, identifying the external interfaces required, classifying functional and non-functional requirements and ensuring the traceability of the requirements changes

• Design of the T24 applications or related interfaces, ensuring current's systems architecture integrity and collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure design/solution is aligned with business requirements.

• Development of T24 applications or related interfaces following the internal policies, including the technical testing and documenting testing evidences

• Provide Support during the User Acceptance Test phase, helping users to define Tests Scripts. Collect and save test evidences for audit purposes.

• Document implementation plan and deploy into production all of the changes related to the project once it has been approved by the business.

• Ensure training of the users related to a new project, documentation of the user guide.

• Liaise with the rest of IT Teams (Business Intelligence, Systems & Database Administration, and Infrastructure) to collaborate and profit synergies within the development.

• Liaise with the Production Support Team to transfer the developed solution knowledge, identifying application maintenance needed and remarking critical dependencies to ensure its correct support in the future.

Support & Maintenance

• Production daily support of T24 application including interfaces. Support level 3.

• Analyzing and diagnosing technical problems in T24, liaising with Temenos over obtaining problem resolution and fixes. This may involve gathering technical information and discussing and challenging their findings.

• Receipt of software fixes from Temenos, installation and testing prior to implementation in Live.

• Document incident resolution, processes workflows and internal procedures

• Upgrade de Core System to the new versions provided by Temenos. Lead the project working with the PMO and the different areas.

Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor

Specialized Knowledge

T24 Platform

• Proven knowledge in T24 core functional modules such as Securities, Payments, Finance Reporting, Treasury, Delivery, Asset Management, Limits & Collateral, Tax Engine.

• Proven knowledge on core system maintenance and T24 tools: COB, Archiving, Installation of patches, TSA Services, Connectivity, OFS, SMS, Template Programming, Enquiries, and Versions.

• Experience in T24 issues solving focused on users, involving the analyze and diagnose of technical problems in T24, liaising with Temenos over obtaining problem resolution, obtaining, test and install fixes and gathering technical information requested by them.

Java Web Applications (preferred, but not required)

• The candidate could be requested to implement some minor projects or changes related to global Web applications. Good skills on the following would be considered as a plus.

• Knowledge/Experience of Java Language programming: SDK 1.7, J2SE, J2EE, EJB, ESB, Struts.

• Knowledge/Experience of Web application Servers: JBoss, Tomcat, Bea Weblogic

• Knowledge of Object Oriented Paradigm Development, UML Modeling and Agile Methodologies.

• Experience with Source Control: CVS, Web Services (Soap), XML, XSL Template programming.

Others

• Extensive experience working within UNIX environments and Shell Scripts Development.

• Experience in Database Modeling, SQL language, and PL/SQL Development is a plus

Education:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience

Business Experience:

5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

Technical Knowledge

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with different departments level across the organization - Excellent team player.

• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and modeling skills.

• Teamwork and team spirit focused including flexibility

Languages:

English and Spanish.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking.
