We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Specialist (REMOTE) to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana (US-LA), United States (US).

The Application Support Specialist shall provide senior support for the areas of system administration, data center operations, workstations, virtualization, storage, and network to a complex infrastructure environment through the service lifecycle. In addition, the Application Support Specialist shall perform the following tasks:

• Work with the existing Unix/Linux support team to build and configure servers and operating systems for the purpose of installing and upgrading applications and business services
• Execute the installation and upgrade of applications including middleware and web server infrastructure autonomously
• Manage tasks and incidents using corporate ticketing system
• Monitor system and application logs for anomalies and resolve challenging issues.
• Respond to system alerts with minimum guidance.
• Support code deployments in collaboration with Release and Configuration Management.
• Contribute to creating and updating documentation of procedures and guidelines for internal team use.
• Respond to alerts and emergency calls and complete scheduled tasks/projects during and outside of normal business hours and weekends
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including those who do not have a technical background.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Minimum of 3 years of Java based web application and server management experience with an emphasis on WebLogic, Tomcat, and Java
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with automated code deployment and automation tools, java application server administration (Tomcat and similar) and scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python or similar)
• Highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering. Formulates/ defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems.
• Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required programs.
• Coordinates work with programmers and engineers, and orients users to new systems. Software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience.

Desired Skills

• 2 years of Windows System Administration
• Supporting Document Management Systems (i.e Documentum).
• Working knowledge with DevOPS tools (i.e. Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, etc.)
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools
• Strong working knowledge of networking principles
• Security+
• Networking+ or CCNA

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who works in Colorado is $80,000 - $120, 000. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on a number of factors, including work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications. The candidate may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on personal and/or company performance.
