Wachter is currently accepting applications for Systems Administrator in our Lenexa, KS IT Department. This position is responsible for managing and deploying various back-end systems in support of business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree, Associates degree in computer/network science, or industry-recognized certificates and work experience in similar fields accepted. 
• Technical skills will revolve around the Microsoft ecosystem with emphasis on Windows Server infrastructure but will also show competency with systems such as Linux and overall competency in networking on Cisco and Meraki. 
•  Excellent planning, organizational, documentation, and time management skills. 
• Ability to problem-solve efficiently. 
• Possesses excellent interpersonal communication and training skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• High level of attention to detail required. 
• Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs. 
• Ability to work well with all groups at Wachter. 
• Understanding of Wachter’s business rules, processes, and day-to-day operations for all companies, divisions, departments, and teams. 

Key Responsiblities:

• Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance, and operations support. 
• Recommend software and hardware enhancements. 
• Build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades. 
• Diagnose and correct computer systems issues. 
• Configure and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure up-grades. 
• Diagnose and correct computer systems issues. 
• Create and maintain documentation for related systems and processes.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior IT Personnel
• Perform after hours maintenance and service, when required.
• Work with vendors to support current infrastructure.
• Record and work from preferred ticketing solutions.
