Systems Administrator

Supporting the Tech Ops team in keeping our production infrastructure running smoothly, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring systems, investigating faults reported from our service desk, responding to system alerts and supporting colleagues with day-to-day IT requests.

Your will be reporting to the CISO (also the Head of Tech Ops), working closing with our Delivery and Engineering teams, this role is your opportunity to play a crucial part in our organisation's tech infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

Systems Administration:

• Administer servers and systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. 
• Proactively monitor systems for issues using tools like AWS CloudWatch, OpenSearch and Grafana.
• Identity opportunities to automate and improve existing processes. 
• Participate in incident response and resolution.
• Create and publish internal documentation, guides and playbooks.

IT Support:

• Assist colleagues with the installation and configuration of laptops, peripheral equipment and softwares.
• Manage local IT inventory including issuing of laptops and accessories to new starters.
• Manage help desk tickets, including access requests and user administration.

• 5+ years experience in systems administration and working with production systems in the public cloud.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience managing infrastructure in AWS EC2.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting on MacOS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent English oral and written communication.
