This position is to provide HUD GAE with enhanced support to address the additional workload required to deliver no-code/low-code development solutions, strengthen the IT governance procedures through the facilitation and management of the Technical Review Sub-Committee (TRC) and the Configuration Change Management Board (CCMB) and provide oversite operational stability and enhanced capabilities to the EDM system.
White Pine Innovations is seeking a Systems Administrator II โ MicroStrategy to provide engineering, operations and maintenance services for Enterprise Applications deployed using legacy and no code / low code platforms that the OCTO is responsible for managing. This position is a remote position. This is a full-time employment opportunity, and the candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and must be able to complete/pass/hold a public trust investigation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and administer the MicroStrategy environment to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement best practices for MicroStrategy administration, including but not limited to:
- User management and access control
- System monitoring and maintenance
- Backup and recovery procedures
- Performance optimization
- Security and compliance
- Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution for the MicroStrategy environment.
- Collaborate with federal staff on routine maintenance tasks and provide regular status updates.
- Manage MicroStrategy projects, including creation, modification, and archiving as needed.
- Assist with capacity planning and scalability to meet current and future business needs.
- Support integration with various data sources and collaboration with data teams to ensure proper data modeling.
- Stay current with MicroStrategy updates and new features, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain relevant documentation, including operational procedures, technical designs, and user guides.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing related to the MicroStrategy environment.
- Provide training and support to end-users and developers on MicroStrategy usage and best practices.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and other MicroStrategy objects as required.
- Support audit requirements and compliance initiatives related to the MicroStrategy environment.
- Perform additional MicroStrategy-related tasks as needed to support clientโs business intelligence and analytics goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, as mandated by our government client.
- Must be able to complete/pass/hold a public trust investigation.
- 5+ years of experience in MicroStrategy or MicroStrategy Administration
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
- Hands-on experience on Report and Dashboard development (creating dynamic dashboards, visualizations using dynamic dashboards, metrics auditing).
- Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and deployment of MicroStrategy tool and clients.
- Familiar with the tools in MicroStrategy suite (e.g., Developer, Command Manager, Architect, Object Manager, License Manager).
- Strong SQL query writing experience.
- Experience in SQL troubleshooting, report failures, project and Intelligence server level governing settings and their impacts.
- Experience supporting developers by troubleshooting reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations and/or cubes/reports/dashboards.
- Experience setting up web interface for MicroStrategy, including building Application Server instances (e.g., WebSphere profiles, deployments, WebAdmin configurations).
- Experience in capacity sizing/planning of MicroStrategy infrastructure components.
- Hands-on experience on Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.ย
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline.
- Experience in AWS or other cloud platforms is a PLUS.
