Systems Engineer

Job Description

The position will primarily involve creating, modifying and processing load and performance testing for various applications. Some of these applications are updated annually, and others are modified as new requirements are set. The successful candidate will work with internal and external groups to understand the requirements, identify potential solutions to meet the needs and then work with the team to codify, debug and process the scripts. Subsequently, analysis of the results to identify potential bottlenecks and solutions to promote a successful launch/upgrade.

Job Responsibilities -

• Responsible for building and maintaining custom tools and databases. This includes being able to gather requirements and determine the proper solution/implementation.
• Responsible for building and maintaining tools primarily used to load/process data in support of training classes.
• Responsible for planning and conducting bi-annual load/performance testing on critical high-visibility enterprise applications.
• Responsible for working with the automation team to plan, build and implement automated load and testing scripts.
• Responsible for assisting and supporting the penetration testing team as needed.
• Responsible for working with various development groups to identify methods for implementing load and performance testing tools and scenarios.

Performance Load Testing

• Strong background in conducting planning both large and small scale load/performance tests against web based enterprise applications.
• Experience in load and performance testing in production like environments.
• Strong background in cloud architecture
• Strong background in HTTP response/request and payloads

This position requires SECRET security clearance, so the successful candidate will have this level of clearance, or be able to obtain SECRET clearance.
