JOB SUMMARY

Location: Any CSI Office, Open to Discussion

Systems Engineer IIs are responsible for the planning, engineering, and compliance of CSI Customer's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software products. They serve as a technical liaison between stakeholder teams and management and advise on current project work as it relates to delivering solutions to client institutions. Systems Engineer IIs are expected to proactively research current and new technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of company solutions and service offerings.
  • Researches, analyzes, and recommends strategy for the technical direction of engineering projects; oversees the planning, design, and project implementation.
  • Provides systems architecture consultation to internal or external resources.
  • Acts as a project leader for large or complex projects.
  • Prepares design for, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, and implements changes supporting the client infrastructure operations and/or product systems.
  • Leads the development, testing, evaluation, or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
  • Installs, configures, upgrades, and provides enhancements to software and hardware.
  • Analyzes, installs, modifies, and supports a variety of operating systems, databases, and utility software.
  • Develops internal procedures and maintains technical documentation (site surveys, network diagrams, systems RUNBOOKS, knowledge base, etc.).
  • Expand education/technical stack/relevant high-level certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING

  • Providing a point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Delivery of project outcomes on-time, within budget, and meeting technical and stakeholder requirements.
  • Mentorship and technical leadership of team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certifications:

Accredited university, college or trade school education and training in applicable technology, advanced degrees or equivalent relevant professional and technical experience. Advanced certifications are recommended.

Experience:

Highly skilled position in described technology. Over three (3) years of demonstrated successful completion of Professional Services project engagements.

Previous experience in FinTech, Finance, and Banking industries is highly desired.

Previous experience working in conjunction with MSP teams is highly desired.

  • Support migration of Active Directory/Azure AD and related platforms to the Cloud
  • Operating and Monitoring of multi-tier Public-Key-Infrastructure with Active Directory Certificate Services
  • Administration and implementation of ADFS identity solutions for more than Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to communicate technology products, solutions, and services to a non-technical audience.
  • Advanced experience with network subnetting
  • Fundamental project management skills
  • Collaboration, teamwork, and team leadership skills

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

This position requires regular contact both inside and/or outside the company.

DECISION MAKING

This position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods and procedures.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Full Direction. Participates in determining objectives and approach to assignments. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activity. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Travel: Minimal travel required (up to 20%).

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift or move up to 50 pounds, and travel by ground or vehicle. This position requires the basic need to look at a computer screen up to 8 hours a day. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
