Systems Test Engineer

The Gogo Business Aviation Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end and integration testing of Gogo's Airborne broadband routers. You will support lab and field testing and facilitate user acceptance and operation readiness. This is a hands-on position, working in software and hardware labs to test Gogo's systems and ensure they meet customer quality and usability expectations before releasing them to the field.

How will you make a difference?

• Participate in end-to-end software testing for new features or regression tests of established features.
• Participate in the creation and review of test documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in code reviews.
• Provide schedule estimates.
• Track Agile stories and tasks, write/track defects, provide status, and ensure stories and tasks are completed on schedule.
• Validate system design per high-level requirement specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate regularly with stakeholders and non-engineering to support integration test planning and execution.
• Participate in user acceptance/operation readiness testing for diverse cross-functional teams.
• There is also an opportunity to develop tools and automation scripts using Python and BASH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of systems engineering, system test.
• Work effectively in a senior software engineering and test team.

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• This position will involve testing software systems with an eye for usability, functionality, and robustness.
• A strong desire and ability to learn new skills and technologies is required.
• Application development skills in Linux environments utilizing Python and/or scripting languages.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Talents

• Python and BASH programming experience.
• Has worked in a configuration-controlled and government-regulated (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254) environment.
• Knowledge of avionics systems and their interrelation and interconnection.
• Practical experience with wireless technologies and/or satellite communication such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, CDMA, LTE, Iridium, Ka, etc.

81,400.00 - 101,750.00 USD Annual
