Tax Accountant

ManTech is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance team in Herndon, VA.

This is a hybrid position working on site 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Prepare and/or review returns for income tax, personal property tax, sales/use tax, BPOL, gross receipts tax, and other types as needed.

• Assist in preparation of quarterly tax provision

• Handle internal requests to corporate tax department e-mail.

• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities

• Research various tax related issues

• Prepare internal memoranda when needed

• Focus on attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

• Recognizes the importance of document maintenance

Minimum Qualification:

• 2+ years corporate income tax experience

• Certified Public Accountant or planning to sit for exam within 1 year of hire date

• Willingness to dig into account data and examine details

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite products)

• Ability to work effectively with outside service providers and other departments within company

Preferred requirements:

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft

• Experience with Thompson Reuters One Source Income Tax (OIT) and One Source Tax Provision (OTP) software

• Big 4/Public Accounting Firm work experience

• International tax experience

Clearance requirement:

• US Citizenship required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300-$108,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
