As part of this group, our dedicated team of equity specialists in Global Intelligence partner with law firms across the world to deliver a cost effective employee share plan compliance management service for global private and public companies, ensuring clients have the information they need to successfully operate their plans. Our Intelligence database provides direct support and expertise including tax and legal information, tax guides, project management tools and additional resources for around 170 jurisdictions. Our tax withholding product for non-mobile, mobile and 3rd party tax calculations within Shareworks enables clients to apply the required rates and withholding positions and provides visibility and clarity to participants on how and why tax is applied to equity compensation.

Ideally located in Calgary - Alberta and reporting to the Vice President, Global Intelligence Associate Team Manager, the Tax Mobility Assistant Vice President role leads in delivering our Global Intelligence and Tax products and services to our current and prospective clients.

The role will see you develop as a subject matter expert in global tax, tax mobility, and regulatory compliance for global share plans and an expert in Global Intelligence and Shareworks tax tools. The role focuses on service for new and existing clients, building our tax offering in the market, and the opportunity to support our sales and internal teams across the business as well as the development of our product.

Our ideal candidate is technically savvy, with strong communication skills. You have a passion for global tax compliance and tax mobility. Knowledge of employee share plans and regulatory compliance would be beneficial. You have a deep belief in team success, a willingness to adapt to continuous change and technological solutions, and a desire to take ownership over responsibilities. You also have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Achieving an expert understanding of the Global Intelligence Database and Shareworks tax tool functionality to support clients' share plan compliance.
• Client relationship management, providing timely and accurate information to existing and potential clients on global tax, tax mobility and regulatory requirements related to employee share plans.
• Collaborating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full understanding of tax legislation, tax rules and mobility rules around the globe.
• Using knowledge of tax legislation, tax policies and mobility rules to build on and refine information on the Global Intelligence Database and in Shareworks.
• Feeding client requirements and market trends into Shareworks development roadmap to ensure that the Global Intelligence Database and Shareworks remain a disruptive force with leading technology in the regulatory, compliance and tax space.
• Business development activities by providing insight and expertise and product demonstrations as required.
• Sharing knowledge and expertise both with colleagues and with professional contacts through participation in industry events.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in tax mobility and/or equity.
• Bachelor's degree or similar area of focus.
• Proven client relationship management.
• Highly tech-oriented person with demonstrated experience of understanding complexities of Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Incredible attention to detail.
• Fluency in both oral and written English is required; additional spoken and written languages are an asset.
• Team player mentality and place a high value on building strong relationships.
• Comfortable delivering effective presentations to a variety of audiences at all levels across different media and deploying differing styles.
• Demonstrated competency with common technology and technical concepts, including: Software as a Service (SaaS), Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Shareworks is an asset.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
• Desire to contribute to the growth of the business, our software and our user's experience.
