Team Lead, Accounting

Based in Vilnius, the Bazaarvoice Finance organisation is looking for an Accounting Team Lead to organize and manage the team of accounting employees and be responsible for monthly accrued and capitalized commissions accounting. This position will focus on key general ledger accounting related to the consolidated financial statements for all Bazaarvoice locations in the US, EMEA and APAC. The Accounting Team Lead will report to the Accounting Manager and will also work closely with the Austin, Texas-based accounting team. This candidate will answer accounting questions, following month/quarter-end reporting procedures and ensure the financial statement accounts are properly stated in accordance with US GAAP.

What You Will Do:

• Administration of capitalized commissions software platform and related monthly processes including monthly journal entry preparation and analysis
• Lead Accounting team while providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth
• Oversee and manage the accounting operations required to close the consolidated financial statements
• Review the monthly reconciliations prepared by Accounting Team and ensures adherence to the month and quarter-end close timelines
• Ensure team compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal controls and accounting policies
• Interpret, execute and update the corporate accounting policies related to area such as prepaid assets, fixed assets, etc.
• Work in ERP accounting system and ensure the business process and controls are maintained
• Work extensively with finance management, external accounting service provider and auditors
• Administer the accounting close software and ensure completion of all tasks and reconciliations within deadlines
• Work closely with the global finance organisation for process improvements and other ad hoc projects

Who You Are:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years post- qualified experience
• Solid knowledge of International accounting standards and/ or US GAAP
• Experience working across multiple countries (US, EMEA, APAC)
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and relationship management skills
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
• Strong attention to accuracy
• Proven dedication to teamwork, leadership, and integrity within a professional environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, etc.)
• Experience in ERP accounting system
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
