Team Lead - SMT/PCB

ETC is looking for our next great Team Lead to join the 1st shift SMT/PCB manufacturing team in Middleton! This role involves prioritization of work within the department, coordination with the planning department, developing work instructions, training team members, assembly, and troubleshooting. Qualified applicants will have strong technical knowledge, communication and motivation skills, and the desire to be involved in process improvements.

Representative Responsibilities:• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly • Sweeps floor and returns tools to designated locations after task is complete • Develops test/assembly work instructions and forms• Ensures priorities are met• Works with production planner to determine work order schedule• Builds assemblies to quality standards and print specifications.• Ensures correct parts are being used and assemblies are built to print specifications• Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled• Ensures product quality meets standards by frequently checking work.• Builds assemblies to quality standards• Follows ISO procedures• Maintains a clean and organized work environment• Organizes work area so that another person is able to locate information easily• Adheres to safety standards at all times• Ensures that safe methods and practices are used• Ensure that protective eyeglasses are worn in work areas • Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines• Ensures that personal protective equipment is worn when required• If applicable, assists project management with the design of custom products• Reviews assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and parts list to identify and inform project management of needed changes• Suggest appropriate project improvement and work with project management to implement changes• If applicable, tests and inspects products• Inspects electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 (latest revision)• Ensures products conform to documentation• Verifies product operation• Troubleshoots products using problem solving skills• Completes appropriate test paperwork and enters appropriate defect data into the electronic database• Ensures customer requirement are met• Configures software for test equipment and products to standards and specifications• Other duties as assigned• Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion

Team Lead Responsibilities:• Organizes and prioritizes workload for employees on a daily basis with direction from manager • Communicates identifiable problems to management• Ensures priorities are met and jobs are completed on time • Assists the manager in the training of employees including• Orientation of new employees to department• ISO 'on the job' training • Training existing employees on new processes or procedures • Personnel duties• Provides objective input on employee performance to manager for use in performance appraisals • Communicates any and all personnel issues to dept. manager e.g. noncompliance with schedule, breach of policy, safety concerns• Ensures employees complete labor reporting sheets• Assists manager in comparison of employee time sheets with established schedules• Assists manager in communicating policies to employees

Minimum Qualifications:• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, IT etc. or comparable experience in the related discipline• Demonstrated ability to perform assembly/production tasks• May have experience/background in multiple departments• Knowledge of hand soldering using Pb and Pb-free alloys• Knowledge of automated SMT processes• Knowledge of other department machines (wave solder, x-ray, etc.)• Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, etc.• Strong communications and interpersonal skills• Motivation and leadership skills• Basic computer skills• Able to interpret and follow assembly drawings or schematics and wiring diagrams
