Technical Operation Support Specialist

As a Technical/Operation support specialist at IBM Slovensko spol.s.r.o. get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of maintaining developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of technical skills and expertise to effectively operate packaged technology into our clients’ business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Technical/Operation support specialist you will use your technical communication and coordination skills to effectively operate comprehensive cloud and on-premise technology stacks within customer environment to support business operations of our clients and to achieve the best possible business results.

Our team at IBM is responsible for managing and maintaining complex application componentsand IT lanscape. That is why we are looking for a new colleague who is ready to deal with various challenges and thus meet the requirements of our customers.

You can work in hybrid mode (home office/office) leveraging our IBM office in Košice.

What would be your responsibilities?

• Maintaining existing stack of on-prem and cloud technologies along with their interaction to support business operations of our customers
• Analysis and troubleshooting of various tickets/incidents identification of corrective actions to minimize disruption
• Identification and implementation of technical solutions to support customer requirements
• Coordinate and communicate with other technical support teams and customers
• Regular communication in English in verbal and written form with internal IBM and customer team building of trust and relationship with client teams
• OnCall shifts 24/7 weekly base rotation
• willingness to deepen expertise in various technologies (Cloud GitHub RedHat OpenShift Kubernetes IBM cloud…)

• Fluent English
• IT related education
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to make decisions take on responsibilities change and re-prioritize your plans in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Good IT technical skills/overview (domain admin skills IT infrastructure knowledge cloud technologies)
• overview of Linux and Bash scripting is benefit
• knowledge and experience with Docker Kubernetes and any kind of IaaS is benefit
• willing to learn new technologies (Cloud GitHub RedHat OpenShift Kubernetes IBM cloud)
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player
• Experience in a similar job position is a plus (IT technical operations/support)
