Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Program Manager in the Cloud + Artificial Intelligence (C+AI) Silver Team. Our team is responsible for supporting the deployment, operations, and customers' successful use of Azure Data's portfolio of services within an air-gapped environment.

This role is for a Technical Program Manager who will collaborate with engineers and other program managers to advance a wide range of Azure services for internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. The individual we seek will have experience as a US Government security clearance holder and subject matter expertise in integrating U.S. Government requirements and is responsible for the successful readiness and compliance efforts in support of our US Government cloud initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Help drive the Certification and Accreditation process for Azure Data services in the government space to achieve an Authorization to Operate (FedRAMP High - IL6)
- Coordinate service readiness for new and updated Azure Data services/features within Azure GovCloud (US) Regions with internal partners and our engineering teams.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, information system security policy and procedures.
- Lead and participate in cross-team and cross-group initiatives
- Improve documentation, track progress, coordinate improvement efforts, and monitor process improvement effectiveness.
- Communicate requirements effectively to partner and service teams to provide clarity needed to drive remediation, utilizing meetings, briefings, and escalations to support program activities
Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- Or equivalent experience
- 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements:
- Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination
- Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in performing and/or participating in technical assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort (e.g., FedRAMP, CNSSI 1253, SOC1, SOC 2, PCI, or ISO 27001)
- 1+ years of experience in developing, reviewing, and updating system documentation in support of an Authorization to Operate.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or Technical Program Manager or 3+ years of security, software development, process automation, networking, and infrastructure management experience.
- Experience with big data tooling and related technologies including as COSMOS, PostgreSQL, SCOPE, Azure Cosmos DB, Kusto Query Language, Microsoft SQL Server, python, PowerShell, or C#
- Hybrid on-prem technical experience with Windows OS coding (e.g. PowerShell/Visual. Studio), encryption, network storage, virtual private networking, active directory domain services, Azure services, Hyper-V administration, operating system deployment, and application management
- Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment with self-managing priorities and initiatives.
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
