Technical Project Manager, Artificial Intelligence

Job Description

We are looking for a self-starter to own and drive tech initiatives involving Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies. This role will bring inventive solutions to address brand challenges by building and testing prototypes, gather feedback, and iterating to continuously improve experiences for customers and team members. This person can drive business impact by conducting store pilots, creating scalable solutions, providing learnings, influencing priorities and outcomes. This role reports to the Director, Software and AI on the Yum! Innovation team. This role is based in Plano, Texas working within a hybrid work environment.

Salary Range: $141,000 - $185,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in establishing pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors

Responsibilities:

Project Management Skills:

• Manage and own initiatives by aligning on priorities, roles, and responsibilities across teams.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities involving cross-functional teams and vendors. Keep stakeholders appraised of the progress, dependencies, risks, and support needed.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise grade project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools for creating project plans, assigning tasks, tracking and reporting progress.
• Document project requirements, provide design specifications for necessary approval, and perform sanity testing to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Gather and provide data, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring support functions (ex. network engineering, network security) have necessary information for approval to pilot solutions in-lab and/or in-store.
• Facilitate meetings effectively with focused agenda and clear outcome.

Technical Skills:

• Hands on experience in cloud platforms, including AWS, to gather, store, provide documents and other contents that require familiarity with user policies, roles and access management.
• Support hardware integration, device set up in labs and conduct prototype demos to leadership.
• Implement processes to gather data from pilot tests, measure against success criteria, and report KPIs indicating viability of the tech and business value.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required (Master's degree preferred)
• At least 8 years of experience managing technical software projects that involves cross-functional teams within and/or outside the US.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in project management platforms, tracking & reporting tools, and SDLC processing (ex. Agile, Jira).
• 2+ years of technical hands-on experience in AWS or other cloud platforms, managing information, provisioning users, and controlling access.
• 2+ years of experience working with data and visual representation to do storytelling.
• Employment eligibility to work with Yum! in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
