Technical Sales Representative (Western USA & Canada)
Remote location
Afitex-Texel Geosynthetics inc., is a Geosynthetics manufacturer specialized in Drainage and Reinforcement solutions used in Landfills, Civil Engineering Works, Mining Operations and Specialized Building & Sports Field applications.
Your contribution to the compagny's success in collaboration with the Business Development Manager North America, here the role you will be playing :
- Participate in the preparation and lead deployment of the business development and rapid sales growth strategy for our lines of products on the territory:
- Identify key players (Engineering and Contractors) for specifying and using our solutions in environmental, civil and mining applications and complete associated market study.
- Research opportunities and trends creating new opportunities to increase sales on the territory.
- Identify and track project opportunities for our key accounts on the territory.
- Close and deal contracts as needed.
- Track business development metrics and report the evolution of the territory competitive market.
- Promote our technical solutions to potential specifiers and users by executing commercial activities including lunch & learn training, webinars, tradeshows and conferences:
- Identify potential targets and organize technical training and presentations with engineers and lead users to promote our solutions.
- Establish long term relations with consulting engineers and potential specifiers.
- Organize and attend commercial tradeshows in the territory.
- Maintain a strong understanding of products and innovating new ways to serve businesses.
- Build and maintain relations with our structured network of partner (agents, distributors, engineers, general & specialized contractors) and coordinate their actions to maximize brand awareness and increase revenues on the territory:
- Identify and meet with potential customers to grow our presence on the territory by promoting our products.
- Maintain an active opportunity funnel and provide market, customer, and competitor intelligence on the territory to maximize sales and profit results.
Territory
- Western USA (WA, MT, OR, ID, North CA) and Western Canada (BC, AB).
Do you have the profile we are looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in technical / commercial related field;
- 2-5 years of experience in a related industry, product, or service (geosynthetics market knowledge would be an advantage);
- Proven experience in client relationship management and proposal strategy and negotiation;
- Ability to follow-up projects with long sales cycles;
- Exhibits drive for results;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Dedication to providing great customer service;
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently;
- Be available to travel 40% of the time ( USA and Canada).
