Technical Support for Gas Insulated Switchgears 80 - 100 % (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of Gas Insulated Switching Systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.

How you'll make an impact

• Technical support for Marketing, Sales, Execution, R&D and Product Management
• Technical support for the entire GIS product portfolio
• Support for customer specification analysis and data schedules
• Clarification of technical questions related to the Offer Catalog
• Participate in technical meetings with customers
• Support Sales when filling in special construction requests for new variants and portfolio extension
• Elaboration and/or presentation of customer required studies/calculations and coordination of external studies
• Understanding of international norms: IEC, IEEE, ANSI
• Active participation in continuous improvement processes, providing feedback to the process, tools and applications
• Participate in R&D design reviews
• Occasional travel for business trips
• This role offers a unique opportunity for candidates to develop and assume other responsibilities within the sales department, depending on their ambition and potential. You will support the entire Gas Insulated Switchgear organization during the stages of Pre-Sales, Tendering, and Execution.

• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in engineering or R&D
• Experience in technical sales, project management, product management, key account management or similar areas of expertise
• Degree (Bachelor/Master) in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince
• Good communication skills
• Capable of writing clear and structured technical statements
• Fluency in English, German is beneficial
• High degree of social competence and sense of responsibility
• Eager to develop yourself, support your peers, and our customers
