What You Will Do

Trimble Global Services are seeking a Technical Support Specialist focussing on the Trimble Mapping & GIS product portfolio.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be central to our customer's success, primarily providing product support and developing content as well as providing training when required.

In this role you will focus on supporting a range of producing including; the Trimble Mapping and GIS product lines that include hardware such as Data Controllers, GNSS receivers, Augmented Reality systems, as well as cloud and office software such as TerraFlex, TerraOffice and the Trimble Connect. You will:

• Provide fast and efficient customer support to business partners, resellers, end-users, and internal Trimble teams
• Provide advanced technical support on problems of diverse scope, where a methodical approach and critical thinking are essential
• Develop specific technical and training documentation as required
• Provide new product input, field-testing and subsequent product release feedback Internally
• Provide positive customer experience and focus on customer success
• Be responsible for adding value for customers beyond expectations
• Some international travel may be required (<5%)

What Skills and Experience You Should Bring

• Degree in GIS, Surveying or a Geomatics related field is preferred
• 2 plus years experience with GIS software packages such as ESRI, QGIS or other
• Experience in GNSS positioning preferred - ideally with Trimble products
• Training and troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to describe complex technical facts in an understandable way
• A curious attitude to learning and growth mindset essential
• Fluent in English, additional language skills are a bonus
• Able to analyze data quickly to make fast decisions
• Ability to identify, define and solve complex problems
• Able to learn and pick up new computer applications
