Tehcnical Writing/SA Support Intern

Description

Leidos is seeing a technically motivated individual with strong writing skills to work collaboratively with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) in producing technical documentation supporting business development activities. If you are looking for an internship opportunity where you can apply your technical skills with a focus on communicating complex topics then this position will help you gain valuable knowledge across a diverse Digital Modernization landscape that includes End User Services, Application Modernization, Information Advantage, Cloud and Data Center, IT Networks and Defensive Cyber.

The primary work location will be remote. However, travel to Reston, VA or Gaithersburg, MD may be needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Research and gather documentation to support BD activities
• Attend meetings and take notes to better position themselves to assist
• Work with SMEs to create MS PowerPoint slides, technical write-ups and diagrams
• Consult with team writers, editor and illustrator to understand processes involved in generating documentation and content
• Contributes idea that could tell the story better

Basic Qualification

• Seeking bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communications, English, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• US Citizen or US Permanent resident

Preferred Qualification

• Coursework in Technical Writing
• Be able to provide technical writing samples
• Candidate should reside in the DC metro area

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
