Job Title: Temporary Design Team Carpenter Job Description: We are seeking skilled and reliable Temporary Design Team Carpenters to support our interior and event design teams with a variety of hands-on projects. This is a temporary, project-based role with a flexible schedule and on-call needs during busy installation periods. This position involves helping us create, build, move, and install furniture, fixtures, props, millwork, and other custom pieces essential to completing interior design and event production projects. The ideal candidate has experience with carpentry and fabrication and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the construction, assembly, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and props. • Transport and move furniture between buildings and locations across the property. • Support the design team with building and installing pieces needed for both permanent interiors and temporary event setups. • Take on varied tasks including light painting, basic repairs, and final project touch-ups as needed. • Ensure quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all build and install work. • Follow safety protocols while using power tools, hand tools, and heavy materials. Requirements: • Experience in carpentry, set building, millwork, furniture assembly, or similar hands-on trades. • Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physically demanding tasks. • Comfortable working with tools and construction materials. • Flexible and reliable with strong time management. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship. • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs or more. Work Schedule: • Must be available on a flexible, on-call basis during busy install periods. • Preference for weekday daytime availability, and occasional evening and weekend work may be required during busy periods. • No guaranteed number of hours per week; workload will vary based on project needs. • This job description provides a general overview of the typical responsibilities and qualifications of the position.
