Job Summary:
As a Test Analyst, you will work within the global DevOps team helping our internal customers to embrace, leverage, and realize the benefits of testing. You'll help evolve our testing strategy, our toolset, and culture on a global basis. You'll champion overall excellence, ensuring that world-class test services are developed and upheld.

This is a great opportunity for a test / business analyst to take the next step on a career in testing, moving away from predominately writing tests to engaging with customers providing value-added consultancy, support, and assistance. You have the opportunity to stay technical but also grow your client-facing skills and help re-ignite the test culture at Markel.

In your role, you will proactively contribute to the success of testing at Markel, whilst gaining exposure and embracing the latest test tools and industry practices. Working within a team looking to offer testing services surrounding functional, non-functional, API, performance, and security.

What we are looking for

• Passion for your field with a can-do attitude!
• The ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in functional, non-functional, and performance testing against web and desktop-based applications
• Experience in analyzing requirements, creating test plans, test scripts, performing test execution, and documenting test results.
• A proactive and pragmatic approach to testing, and following best practice, combined with a vision of what testing should be and how best to apply it

What you'll do

• Drive the adoption of new best practices and services related to testing
• Participate in forums, conferences to showcase our technology and practices, learn from others
• Engage and collaborate with testing vendors partners and customers
• Create documentation, guidance, hands-on labs, and run workshops for customers on a global basis

Work location is flexible if approved by the Company, except that position may not be performed in Colorado.
