Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are to preform thermal analysis and design, including structure, mechanism, and packaging design & analysis for natural and induced environments for a Missile Defense Agency program.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent combined education/experience;
• Professional work experience including some of the following: thermophysics, heat transfer, aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, and/or computer programming;
• CFD Analysis and/or CF Management;
• Prior experience in the rocketry industry;
• Knowledge of requirements development and management;
• Strong mathematical and analytical background;
• Experience in mechanical engineering principals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with liquid propulsion and turbomachinery;
• Prior experience designing turbines, or conducting turbine thermal analysis;
• Applied knowledge or experience with CFD software (FLUENT, GASP, Pointwise, or other grid generation and CFD tools), or experience with thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop, SINDA, TSS);
• Experience supporting production of missile or spacecraft hardware.
