The Developer Tools team provides the tools to develop software for Apple's innovative iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and VisionOS platforms. Because tools are our products, software engineers on the Developer Tools team have the unique and rewarding opportunity to apply personal experience to enhance and augment the tools they use every day. The Developer Tools team is looking for a diligent and focused Quality Engineer with the curiosity to find bugs and a deep knowledge of tools and automation.

Description

We're looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated individual, excellent at creating and maintaining tests/tools required and communicating with other teams about the health of their parts of the IDE. You'll be paired with a tools development team, and work with them to extend their automated testing to help ship high quality developer tools. You'll have the opportunity to build shared APIs for testing, and be challenged to come up with testing strategies that maximize coverage of your component with minimal manual intervention. • Proficient object-oriented programming skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a passion for quality
• Experience in writing automation tests at API, UI, and non-UI levels
• Collaborative and curious contributor with proactive communication and demonstrated ability to lead projects

• Passion for perfecting beautiful user interfaces and seamless user experiences
• Comfortable with rapid software development release cycles and tight schedules

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,800 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
