Job Description

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as Training Coordinator, you will handle and implement product and Health and Safety (H&S) training programmes that align with Hitachi Energy requirements, enhancing the skills of our workforce.

Hitachi Energy is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit handles the worldwide after-sales support of gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits, and replacements.

The responsibilities:

  • Coordination and scheduling of Field Service training including UK H&S requirements and Hitachi Energy product specific training and certification.
  • Ability to evaluate training requirements from multiple countries in the Europe region.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure future training requirements are captured based on customer requirements and future workload.
  • Maintain training records within a learning management system.
  • Provide regular reports on training outcomes and compliance status to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessments.
  • Encourage employee engagement in training, supporting accountability for learning outcomes and skill development.
  • Proactively identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement in training processes and materials.

Your background:

  • Proven experience within a training coordination environment or similar.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral, to all levels of employees and management teams.
  • Comfortable in operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to successfully multi-task


  • Systematic, proactive approach and efficient time management.
  • Proficient in tracking training metrics and using data to drive improvements.
  • Good computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
