Position Summary
HASI is seeking a hard-working and detail-oriented Transactional Paralegal to support our team in Annapolis, MD. This individual will work with our internal Legal team to work on transactional and corporate matters. This position is based in Annapolis, Maryland.
Responsibilities
Communicating with multiple internal and external clients daily
Drafting and/or reviewing transaction documentation with strict attention to detail; overseeing finalization and execution of documentation
Coordinating delivery and collection of signature pages from clients as well as the delivery of such to all parties.
Managing closing mechanics and verifying all requirements have been met before closing.
Working on post-closing matters such as the transfer of permits and licenses, preparing and organizing closing documents and binders for distribution
Conducting procedural and factual research (including UCC, real property, and other lien searches) with appropriate filing offices, and preparing and recording UCC financing statements and amendments and documents evidencing property ownership
Preparing and filing formation and foreign qualification documents for all types of corporate entities; performing due diligence with respect to corporate good standing and authority
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a paralegal handling transactions and performing due diligence
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment utilizing.
Ability to work independently or with a team.
Experience bringing projects to closure.
Excellent judgment, administrative abilities, and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with clients, transaction parties and team members whether virtually, electronically, by phone and in person.
Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.
Knowledge of legal principles and practices
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe
