Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cyber-security, or related fields.
  • 4 years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD degree.
  • Experience with machine learning.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The Trust & Safety's Creator Experience team works to help Creators make it on YouTube by providing a consistent and clear policy experience, protecting ad business, enforcing guidelines on brand unsafe content and aligning with industry standards. We work to improve the practical elements of Creator experiences such as making video appeals easier, explanations for demonetization more detailed and turnaround times faster as well as ensuring policy launches are more seamless - and above all easier to access and understand. This team focuses on making the experience of being a Creator better, through ensuring that the business generation policy is something that's easily understood, that is open to change and that reflects the ever-changing world of the Creator ecosystem. We work to make the Advertiser-friendly content guidelines a set of rules that Creators can live with, as well as live by.

A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement integrations between business objectives and business systems, including designing and building strategies that support these business systems.
  • Conduct strategic analysis, optimize business performance, and deliver within relevant product areas. This includes analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing solutions that improve business performance.
  • Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, important organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
  • Use Google's big data to conduct data-oriented analysis, architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends.
  • Work with sensitive content or situations and be exposed to graphic, controversial, upsetting topics or content.
