Job Description
U.S. Got People is searching for an Ultrasound Technologist to work Full-Time at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, providing care and services to active-duty service members.

Qualifications:
- Graduated from a medical sonography training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
- Possess a minimum of one-year full-time experience as an Ultrasound Technician within the last three years
- Must have BLS
- Possess a current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, (ARDMS) or possess a current or post-primary certification and registration as a Sonographer from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S-AART).
Job duties may include but are not limited to:
- Participate in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members.
- Provide training and/or clinical direction as applicable to supporting Government employees (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students, etc.)
- Exercise appropriate clinical delegation of tasks and duties in the direction and coordination of health care team members, patient care, and clinic activities. Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the Technical Order (TO).
- Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiology Department policies and procedures.
- Send appropriate image series to the radiologist for reading according to Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) protocol.
- Correctly position the patient for the examination and make technical adjustments necessary for the required Determine if any special patient preparation is required.
- Process digital images and submit them for interpretation by radiologists.
- Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policy.
- As directed, perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to the manufacturer and MTF Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values.
- Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying designated Government personnel.
- Report problems to the Biomedical Repair Section and record the problem condition in the trouble call logbook.
- Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms which have direct bearing on the patient's condition as a result of adverse reaction to contrast media and inform the radiologist of any condition requiring his/her attention.
- Recognize the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for situations where a person requires resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.
- Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasonic examinations including but not limited to: fetal echocardiogram, placenta Doppler studies, obstetrical sonography, pelvic sonography, and endovaginally Obstetrical sonography includes imaging of all fetal anatomy to obtain accurate dating and growth parameters and evaluation for fetal abnormalities/problems with pregnancy. Pelvic sonography includes imaging of all pelvic anatomy to attain an accurate assessment of suspected pathogens. The endovaginally sonography exams are performed to obtain an accurate assessment of suspected pelvic pathogens.
- Operate ultrasound Operate linear, sector, and endovaginally probes to include pulse and color Doppler capabilities.
